Completely?: I tend not to say always or never in medicine, but you can make enormous progress in recovering from heart disease. If you have high blood pressure, get it under contol. Manage any other risk factors like overweight, diabetes, high cholesterol and a sedentary lifestyle. You will be amazed at the progress you can make. Yes: The initial stages of  hashimoto's is an over active thyroid which over stimulates the heart leading to atrial fibrillation.

can an unneeded cardioversion cause svt or other heart problems? i was having a weed indused panic attack and they shocked me with 100 joilts in the ambulance and it didn't work and they gave me 3 shots of denison that did not work either?

: Intravenous adenosine is used to terminate SVT &amp; is usually quite effective even though more than 1 dose may be needed. Can we be sure the arrhythmia was SVT &amp; not  sinus tachycardia,A fib or A flutter?  An electric cardioversion if not properly synchronized, can induce dangerous ventricular fibrillation. If this occurs  unsynchronized defibrillation must be carried out immediately.

i'm 27 and was diagnosed with hypertension at 12. i was born with heart problems. i was recently switched from losaritan 25mg to bystolic 5mg twice a day. why am i still seeing 135-140/80's when i wake up in the morning. should i worry?

: Blood pressure is usually high in the morning (before you take your AM dose) due to the surge of major fighting hormones (adrenaline, cortisol, etc). If it comes down to below 130/80 most of the day you should be fine.

my friend said her primary care physician said that atenolol is of hardly any value for anyone having hypertension and that it is mainly prescribed for those with heart problems. i think my own 50mg of atenolol was to lower my hypertension. ideas?

: Atenolol is not the first tier drug use for essential hypertension. However, in certain comorbid conditions atenolol can be used (a stone is used to kill 2 birds). If you do not have any comorbid condition such as cardiac arrhythmia, coronary heart disease, etc. then atenolol should not be used as the first tier drug but it is not an absolute contraindication, i.e. it can still be used. Chest pain: A bad heart can present in many ways: difficulty breathing, chest pain worse with exertion, swelling of legs, cough when laying down.  At your age, 29, it would be out of normal. If you have these symptoms, see your doc ASAP.

Aneurysm : It is probable that this test would have identified aortic aneurysm if it was present. If they spefically looked at your heart they can tell structural and functional problems by echocardiography.

ADHD, HTN and CAD: At this time and with these diagnoses present I would not recommend the use of Adderal.  There are behavioral therapies and alternatives that you can use instead.  There is risk in taking it with the hypertension and heart disease.

Hard to say: High blood pressure can cause heart problems and kidney failure. Kidney failure can cause high blood pressure and in turn causes heart problems. Several medications are available to control blood pressure and to help with heart problems.

Ritalin (methylphenidate): I doubt if ritlinhs caused your aforementioned symptoms.Withdrawal should take no more than a week.
