Give it time: For an acute ligament tear, healing time can be 4-6 weeks depending on various factors. I would use a brace, compression, consider physical therapy and look for slow improvement the whole time. 

I would give it 6 months before you decide on surgery. Look for pain, swelling and ankle instability as key signs ligament not healed. Mri can be diagnostic to see for sure.

First line: Surgically, the first line of repair is anatomic repair, meaning repairing the ligaments or augmenting the stability of the ankle without changing/ redirecting the anatomy. IGHL: Depends upon extent. If just partial tear, consider rest, immobilization, nsaids, pt/modalities. If complete or more extensive, may need additional scope or open stabilization procedures if the glenohumeral joint is unstable with conservative attempts to heal.

"ligament tear": Ligaments can be repaired, but it is unlikely that the type of bra would affect the tearing of ligaments.  The breast movement with strenuous activity can stretch tissue in the breast so that the breast falls lower on the chest when good support is lacking. The "repair" of that is difficult and not always successful. Sports bras are preferable to avoid this.

Specialist: I recommend consulting an orthopedic surgeon with special interest in chronic ankle symptoms following an injury or surgery. You may have to call the Orthopedic department at a university hospital to locate such a specialist.

Takes 16 wks to heal: The initial concern should be to reduce the inflammation as soon as possible by following the principles of price: protect it (with a splint or brace); rest it (get the weight off of it completely; use crutches if necessary); ice it within the first three days, 15-20 minutes three times a day; compression (using a loose ace bandage, compression brace or kinesio tape), elevate to reduce swelling.

Disruption of tissue: Ligament tears can be minor intrasubstance injury without disruption of continuity of fibers (grade i).  There can be partial disruption of fibers with slight laxity (grade ii).  There are others where there is complete rupture of the fibers with gross laxity (grade iii).
