Try these- apply : Cold packs the first two days then hot compress thereafter. Take tylenol (acetaminophen) or nsaids as needed for pain. Apply ace wrap where it hurts. If it gets worse, see your boyfriend, i mean your dr!

i have a high grade partial tear on my bicep at the distal musculotendinous junction. does this require surgery? my arm isn't in much pain, and is functional. if i need surgery can it wait? i'm a mechanic and can't afford to loose work?

: Generally, speaking, biceps tears that are partial will stay that way, what matters most is function. General recommendation is to consult orthopedic surgeon to consider surgical repair.

: I assume that a preop MRI was done and if so and it didn't demonstrate those findings, your orthopedic surgeon will have to answer your question.

Depends: Near the distal biceps is the median nerve. Injury to that area can potentially injure that nerve or swelling puts pressure  on that nerve.  A test called emg/ncv can identify how well that nerve is functioning and help determine the cause. Stop at your local physical medicine and rehab or neurologist doctors office for more details.

Depends: Thae answer depends on the method for fixing the biceps tendon. Usually, there are some sort of limitations for the first 6 weeks, although your surgeon will be able to be more specific depending on the details of your procedure.

i had subacronial decompression and bicep tenodesis 5 weeks ago.shoulder is good but have pain in bicep and arm, especially in movement or reaching. is this normal at this stage of recovery ? or a sign that i need to be assessed again?

: It takes upto 8 weeks to recover from this. AFter any surgery if you feel you have a problem you should not hesitate to call the surgeon and ask.

hi, i have a full thickness bicep tear at the shoulder. is there usually swelling, discoloration & visually disformaties?

Yes : There is frequently swelling and bruising if the long head of the biceps tendon tore at the shoulder recently.  The biceps muscle tends to ball up closer to the elbow called a Popeye deformity. The swelling and bruising  will go away but the Popeye deformity will remain unless it is surgically corrected which isn't necessary unless there are other injuries like a rotator cuff tear.
