please tell me what to expect when re-introducing gluten/ help with digestive issues?

Gluten: Gluten is a common cause of leaky gut and digestive problems.

Because of immune complexes and how they work, a patient will often experience worse symptoms of gluten reactivity when reintroducing gluten than before they stopped the gluten.

Gluten can cause IgE reactions, IgG reactions, increased permeability, etc.

No one needs gluten.  I recommend just staying off of it if it causes problems.

for a couple days now, i've had some churning in my stomache along with a kind of knot feeling lower right. might this be a digestive issue?

Abdominal discomfort: Since the symptoms are persistent and there is right lower abdominal discomfort, I recommend that your physician examine you to rule out appendicitis. This is especially indicated if there is associated abdominal tenderness in this area.

for a few months i've had really chronic digestive issues. i had a gastroscopy and nothing was wrong but almost anytime i eat anything i feel sick.

Follow up: Did they take biopsies of your esophagus, stomach and duodenum during your endoscopy? A normal biopsy would be more reassuring. Also, there are other causes of digestive issue such as lactose intolerance, irritable bowel syndrome, and microscopic colitis that appear normal on endoscopy. Follow up with your GI doctor so can evaluate you for these other issues. Also, a colonoscopy may also help.

Yes: Physical therapy is absolutely a useful tool for managing pain, given that you are cleared for it by a physician knowing the extent of your spine problems.  I would discuss your hesitance to take medications to your doctor, and if they won't respect your perspective, get a second opinion.  That said, many pain medications can be used safely without fear of addiction.

Depends on location: It's possible to have digestive issues from even benign tumors, depending on where they are located. If they are compressing part of your small or large intestine, they could certainly be causing symptoms. You could ask your doctor to explain where they are located and why he or she thinks they would or would not cause symptoms. I hope that helps!

is the paleo diet a good diet for someone with digestive issues?

Yes: Many digestive issues are due to gluten intolerance or intolerance of dairy, some grains or refined starch. The paleo diet is free of processed food, dairy and wheat as well as most starch so it does help with majority of common digestive problems such as leaky gut, celiac, etc as well as weight loss.

is it normal to get digestive issues after i had my gallbladder removed?

Not normal: But not rare.  For some weeks to months after gallbladder removal, you can get pain until your system gets accustomed to lack of storage organ.  This wil pass with time.  Also sometimes you can get alkaline reflux gastritis or esophagitis.  You sometimes need to take medicine called sucralfate.  Ask your surgeon for recommendation.

hello, i was told i have hyperamylasemia, and i'm under weight, would enzymes tablets help me? i do have digestive issue.

Pancreatic problem: I recommend consulting a gastroenterologist for evaluation and appropriate testing as it would appear that there is some pancreatic pathology and most likely  intestinal malabsorption leading to weight loss and ,deficiencies of vitamins D,A,E and K and other nutrients. I would expect that your stools are loose and greasy due to high fat content. Pancreatic enzymes may be prescribed.

can i take biox4 for my digestive sustem and renew womens ultimate flora probiotics for my female issues at the same time?

Accepted Answer

Probiotics: Yes. You may have some bloating from all the probiotics which are probably excessive but it is unlikely to harm you other than costing you money.
