Diarrhea/bcps: By two hours, an active bcp is already absorbed, so it does not "count as missed".  Even if an active pill is missed, the birth control protection is not lost. If the active pills are not started within seven days of the last active pills, ovulation and therefore pregnancy can occur, even if no more active pills are missed.

Culture: A stool,culture that is negative will prove that your son is no longer contagious. Do you know for sure it is salmonella that is the cause for his illness? A rash may indicate other illnesses. Have him checked.

Go see your doctor: Diarrhea for 2 months is not good.  You will get dehydrated.  Your electrolytes will be off, and you will feel weak.  You may have a colitis infection and need to be tested.   Go see your doc.
