Ultrasound finding: Can be insignificant if due to turbid urine from calcium, phosphatic or urate crystals. Can be due to blood as in hematuria, or urinary infection where debris is bacteria ; white ;/or red blood cells. Can be small fragments of kidney or bladder stone. Also occasionally sloudhed cells from lining of kidney, bladder or tumor.

Snow globe: This can be seen at cystoscopy or ultrasound and usually looks like a snow globe; the toys that you shake and the white snow-like material disperses.

: "Echogenic" debris simply refers to opaque material that appears dense with ultrasound scaning.  The "debris" can represent calcium crystals.  If the echogenic area is part of the bladder wall, get a referral to a urologist to be sure of the diagnosis.

Not Serious: Debris in the bladder and high white blood cell count, presumably in the urine test, is consistent with a bladder infection. She should have a urine culture and be considered for treatment

It depends: It will show up in cystoscopy, your urologist should be able to give you more plans depending on the findings. Fistula is one of the possibilities.

See below: A urinary tract infection would be the most common cause to explain this combination of symptoms and urine culture is most accurate means of UTI diagnosis. The presence of blood in the urine (hematuria) especially if visible is also cause for concern. Stones and/or tumor need to ruled out. Recommend urological evaluation which may include blood tests, U/A, urine culture, CT urogram, cystoscopy.

hi i've recently been diagnosed with "debri in the gall bladder"  what exactly is this? what may cause it? and what is most like to be done about it?

Symptomatic? Remove: Debris in the gallbladder or gallbladder sludge refers to the appearance of very small particulates in the bile within the gallbladder.  Several factors can contribute to the development.  When bile is excreted after meals, the thick sludge can cause mild obstruction that leads to pain or rarely pancreatitis.  If asymptomatic, it can be observed, otherwise consider having the gallbladder removed.

3 yrs old had us after uti. this was the findings: fullness of the right renal system with no evident of frank hdrynephrosis. minimal layering echogenic foci at the base of the bladder suggestive of debri. should i be concerned? is this a tumor?

: This is a reassuring result, consistent with a not too serious UTI. No tumor. But discuss with your child's doctor for even better interpretation and advice.
