Bone healing: For a typical healthy patient it usually takes 6-8 weeks for bone to heal fully.  If you do have an osteotomy (bone cut) this can be the expected recovery time.  If it i'd simply a bone shaving you may be able to walk 2-3 days after surgery.

Other options?: You're 30 and no longer growing, problem won't get worse. A 3/4" heel lift on your shorter leg may resolve most issues. If not, surgery to lengthen the short tibia with external device is possible but results may not be worth the effort to get there. You really need to discuss with orthopedics your current issues with shorter leg and if they will resolve with surgery.

went hiking in daniel boone forest a year ago ,didn't get the rabies vaccine beforehand. i knowit has bats.not sure of exposure. should i be worried?

No rabies exposure: Just hiking doesn't count as a 'rabies exposure'. Primarily rabies is transmitted from the bite of a rabid animal. Very rarely, a scratch is enough to do the job. If you didn't come into contact with any animals, then you are at zero risk of rabies. Your immune system actually is working in the background all the time, so I would trust that... True bats may transmit rabies but you were not exposed

hi. my son taylor had virus 2 weeks ago & chest infection last week hes nearly finished amoxicillin for this. hes still sick but better. however school sent him home.he is still coughing but not as chesty i think.can't get a docs appnt. should i wait?

Depends : If he's breathing ok can probably wait until can get an appointment with doctor.  Agree worth at least a re examination of the chest.  If breathing troubles should be seen more urgently

my son daniel has an ear infection. he has had grommets inserted into his ears so the discharge is coming out of his right ear only.

Grommet working: When you have an ear infection you get fluid behind the ear and blockage/congestion.  The grommet will create and opening so will have a discharge when gets an ear infection but will help stop persistent fluid (effusion) which causes the longterm problems in the first place.  May be worth seeing your GP to have the ear examined if not already and arrange treatment if needed.

Hair loss: Hair loss due to hormonal fluctuations usually needs to be treated long term. Talk to your Dr in a video consult to determine if the progesterone needs to be continued for longer than one month.

The dangers are misdiagnosis leading to taking the wrong product or something useless, and the risk of an easily treated condition becoming worse and harder to treat over time.  There is also the security of self medication which can delay seeking more serious help when it is needed.

The company selling these products will advise you on how to safely handle them.  Modern cartridges should involve no contact with the contained black dust.  If you are at risk of getting dust on your hand, or in your lungs, i would be caution and use gloves and a mask.
