Ice and keep clean: What a common injury for a toddler! Clean the cut or scrape with soap and water. If not bleeding too much, or gaping, stitches are probably not needed, but if the cut is large, see your pediatrician. Put ice on the injury to minimize swelling and bruising.

May be an infection: Small lacerations or cuts may occur after intercourse. In your case, it may have become secondarily infected, based upon how you describe it. I would clean and irrigate the area and you can even apply antibiotic ointment to the area. If it worsens or becomes red and painful then you should have your Gynecologist look at the area.

: Waxing is just massive hair plucking -- and when the hair shafts start to grow back, they will ingrown even more than after a close shave.  Better to let your hair grow until the shaving bumps resolve, then shave less closely in the future.

: I would suggest that you see a dermatologist for an examination of this lesion. If you were initially attempting to remove the lesion, you prob have realized by now that such an action is not a good idea. See if this dark lesion needs to be treated at this time.

Anything which causes the hair to be cut off or broken off with a sharp tip can cause ingrown hairs. Shaving is the leading cause, but waxing and tight clothing can also cause ingrown hairs. The hair curls back or grows sideways into the skin, and happens more so in people with curly hair.
