Minor head trauma: Toddlers with minor head trauma who didn't lose consciousness and don't have neurologic symptoms do not need further evaluation as long as there is no physical evidence of skull fracture and are alert, oriented, and obeying commands. However, up to 5% of these patients with apparent minor head trauma have traumatic brain injury on neuroimaging. Monitor for symptoms like disorientation and vomiting
