is the level of intelligence of a child, 4 or 5, any indication of their intelligence in the future? if a 4 yr old knows sight words & another four year only knows letters, does that mean the first child will be a better reader thus more successful?

: It is not possible to state with certainty that the child recognizing words will be a better reader, because the seemingly more advanced child might have been exposed to words more frequently than the child recognizing only letters.  However, if indeed both children had been exposed to the same material, the child reading words would likely be a better reader in the future.

: Besides committing to different therapeutic programs (individual and group counseling in addition to pharmaceutical therapy), she should move out of her current environment which makes drug access is much harder and she can escape the routine interaction.

Basics: Weight  remains stable if your lifestyle &amp; diet supports the weight you carry. Exercise more &amp; eat less &amp; you loose weight. The major factor is the diet. You may want to meet with a nutritionist to gain incite on how you can meet your goals. They can spot areas where you can make changes that are reasonable within the life you lead.

Depends on variables: Most males finish their growth by age 17-18. Growth centers in the long bones respond to the hormones of puberty by closing at a predictable pace.An x-ray of your wrist and hand can be assessed for growth plates and if more like a 14-15 yo you could expect more growth.If your growth plates have closed, you are done.

Relationship issues: Good to get out these important issues relatively early in a relationship rather than much later. There is always adoption as a possible route if you can't have your own biological child. Also consider surrogacy as an option depending on how serious things get. Good luck.

Go to ER: Get the problem evaluated ASAP. See a doctor today or go to the ER. This can be a major issue. People who are wheelchair bound run an increased risk of having a pulmonary embolism (a blood that travels to the lungs). There are, of course, other possible causes but the issue still needs immediate evaluation.

This is common: The reason that it is important to continue checking thyroid function regularly for the remainder of life after thyroidectomy is because the requirements for thyroid hormone replacement can change at any time without any identifiable cause.  It is not unusual for a person to require high doses of thyroid replacement following total thyroidectomy.  There is no reason for concern about absorption.

G.I.: At this point in time; you should be(if not already) evaluated by a gastroenterologist.  If you have done this and the work-up was fine consider making a diet change; or consider stress as a possible culprit for your symptoms...And try to de-stress accordingly.
