Depends: CRP or C reactive protein is a very nonspecific marker of inflammation. It is not specific for any disease. It is important to know in what context this lab was drawn - but with that being said - I can't think of a situation in which this lab value would make me concerned for a specific disease process. Overall, this slightly elevated lab really should not worry you.

Need context: The lab test results are just that... numbers. The doctor who ordered them should be interpreting them for you, as the clinical context is important. What symptoms were you having? Were the symptoms getting worse or getting better when you had the test done? Were you on any treatment? CRP is a general marker of inflammation. Less than 1mg: is considered normal.  FYI it is a very non specific test that measures inflammation in the body that could occur in vascular diseases as well in arthritis, infections and carries increased risk of  CAD. CDC Recommends to use average of 2 test 2 weeks apart to access the risk of vascular disease. Control other CAD factors like DM  and Exercise may reduce CRP

Normal results: Both your CRP results were normal &amp; slight change within normal limits is also normal as is your ESR. There does not need to be cause because both test are normal. Nowadays, we tend to orer just CRP without ESR as it is probably more accurate measure of inflammation, easier to perform &amp; both usually move in tandem.
