Probably: If it's been crooked all your life, probably just a normal anatomic variation.  If this is a recent change, it deserves investigation...call your Dentist for recommendation to an Oral Surgeon.

Hello. : Hello. I don't  know how severe your swelling is.  If you have progressive worsening of your sore throat and  the pain and swelling is worse on one side than the other, there may be concern for a peritonsilar abcess on one side. In that situation there would be deviation of your uvula to the opposite (contralateral) side as well as swelling in the area. The tonsil is likely to be enlarged & beefy red with white purulent drainage. It sounds like you also have swollen lymph nodes.  The problem with a peritonsillar abcess is that the infection can become deep and sometimes your airway can occlude. A peritonsilar abcess is a true emergency.  If any of this sounds like you, i would recommend that you be evaluated at an er right away. You should not drive yourself.

my son is a month old and he was born open delivery face up, the right side of his mouth is crooked when he cries, will this heal?

See an ENT: It sounds like this could be an issue of facial paralysis.  This can come from a difficult delivery, or can be something the baby is born with.  It would be a good idea to see a pediatric ENT (or a general ENT comfortable with neonatal facial paralysis as not all will be) for a check up.  Often the nerve will start working again on its own but other times testing such as with an MRI may be needed.

Yes could be: Can feel like that ...Should get back to normal as the anesthesia wears off but if it stays after tje anedthesia is worn off..Get it checked.

Possible viral ...: Tongue , oral mucosa - inflammation - could be either viral ( as herpes - cold sores") or fungal as " oral thrush' . Sometime  bacterial but wonder tongue uncommon ( unless injured) .For relieve recommend arm water with salt gargle and rinses. Liquid bland diet. If he has severe pain or fever , swollen glands.. he should be seen by doctor. Mild discomfort can be also relieve day ibuprofen ,tylenol

No: I assume you had local anesthetic. It can take hours to wear off. In the very , very unlikely event a nerve was actually damage during injection, it will also heal back to normal.

got punched 8 yrs ago in mouth. today my mouth doesn't close all the way and my smile is crooked, not aligned. what is this? also have seb. derm on it

TMJ: Sounds like temporomandibular joint syndrome (TMJ) or dislocation of the tmj.  Dentists trained in orofacial pain and tmj, ent, oromaxilofacial surgeons may be able to help with this condition.  Imaging study may be needed.  It may be successfully treated with a molded mouth guard.

Perhaps, but: People chew the most where they have the best occlusion.  You should get your bite checked and get your  jaw and TM joints checked.  The most common reason for assymetry of the face is due to assymetric jaws.  It is possible to nonsurgically reposition the mandible in a more neuromucscularly favorable posture.

tmj correct? smile is crooked, going left. when i sleep on my right (mouth closed), no drool. when i do the same on my left, i get drool.

See a doctor: With a crooked smile, it might be something neurologic like what happens after a stroke or bell's palsy.  See a doctor soon.

my jaw keeps moving left when i open my mouth and closed sometimes. i heard that misaligned teeth or responsible but my upper wisdoms are only crooked. can my upper wisdom teeth cause this issue?

: A visit with the PCP and Dentist will be the first steps toward diagnosing the underlying cause of the jaw movement described. once the cause is determined a treatment/management plan will be put in place.
