Exercise does not: Exercise does not cause hair loss. Creatine & whey do not cause hair loss, but are also a waste of money.

im almost 16 and ive used creatine for a month now but ive noticed some hair loss/thinning so i stopped for 2 days now. is there anyway i can continue using it without losing hair? and is my hair going to get back to normal?

: Using creatine is not doing you any good, other than lightening your wallet. Hair loss is co-incidental and not related to creatine intake.
For healthy diet: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/., exercise 30 minutes/day, drink enough water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs.

As you know,: creatine turns into creatine phosphate in the body and helps make ATP, a energy source for muscles. Evidence of its effectiveness is mixed: may help for short period of athletic activity; not for endurance. As with all supplements, their manufacture is not regulated. Most people can take with no problem, but I would stop and see if hair loss situation improves. Good wishes:)

No: You're a grown man now, and i'm glad you're training. Male hair loss is genetically programmed and correlates quite well with how much chest hair you've been blessed with. Creatine won't impact it, or cause telogen effluvium or alopecia areata. You can get a prescription from your physician, consider hair transplantation, wear a ballcap or hairpiece, or embrace your genetic heritage like photo guy.

: It might. There is no study pro or con. Try taking something else instead of creatine unless medically necessary to eliminate the side effect and having to take something to prevent it. At your age a healthy diet and life-style should suffice and should not need to have to take supplements- as you see they have side-effects.

No: Creatine is the best supplement by far for the man interested in putting on lean muscle. Male-pattern hair loss is genetically programmed. You can have it treated, or decide you like it, like photo guy. A fit man looks incomparably better than a non-fit man, regardless of who has hair where. If your hair loss is patchy, you may be hypothyroid, have a fungus, or telogen effluvium.

No way to tell : Unfortunately, dietary supplements are regulated as foods (as opposed to drugs).  As such, they are not required to undergo the same testing (or prove their claims to be true). Also, since no third party testing of their product is required - the ingredients listed don't even have to match what is in the bottle.  Wish I had a better answer ... Good luck!

Save your money: Unless you have a chance to win an olympic medal the small benefit from lifting after taking creatine is  negligible. It might increase DHT. But finasteride will reduce DHT.

Wouldn't risk it: Supplemental creatine is generally marketed as a way to increase length of workouts &amp; thereby cause faster muscle build-up. However, there is no proof that it works &amp; in your case seems to have instigated a medical problem (alopecia). It stands to reason that you risk more hair loss if you restart. Propecia, (finasteride) to my knowledge, doesn't interfere with creatine, so there's still potential for hair loss

ok to take fish oil, protein powder, creatine and lift weights which will increase testosterone if i am suffering from hair loss and want to prevent it?

OK but won't help.: All of those things (or at least the weight lifting) will be good for your general health. Unfortunately, increasing testosterone won't affect hair loss, which has to do with the hormone receptors in the hair shafts themselves. The only proven hair loss preventatives are rogaine, (minoxidil) which is otc, and finasteride, a prescription med that your doctor can prescribe if you have no contraindications.
