Spinach nutrition: Popeye ate cooked spinach for good reason.  :-)  you can get some nutrition from raw spinach, but the antioxidants like beta-carotene & lutein (good for your vision, too!) are much more available when cell walls are broken down by steaming or sauteing.  Also, the minerals in raw spinach (like calcium, magnesium, & iron) are bound to oxalic acid.  Gently cooking releases them for you to absorb.

No nutritional info: There is no signficant nutritional value in drinking alcohol--only empty calories. Nutritional labels are designed to help people make informed food choices. Be smart, eat healthy, and limit alcohol consumption (see earlier healthtap responses regarding responsible alcohol ingestion).

Water: Baby spinach has more water so is more tender. Nutritionally they are both great for nutrition due to their iron, high anti oxidant and alkalanizing ability.

Accepted Answer

Depends upon mix: Carbs come from the dressing, croutons and added fruits and vegetables.  Chicken supplies protein and fat as do anchovies if you use them.  The dressing may contain egg which supplies all three.  The actual quantity depends upon the percentage of each item in the mix and the total quantity per portion.

Depends: The macaroni is non-dairy and can even be made with rice noodles which are gluten free.  However the sauce is the critical element.  Some are made with dairy elements, cream and milk and sour cream, for instance.  You need to make it yourself if non-dairy is the goal.

why can't i eat anymore after having salad?

Accepted Answer

Bulk: The stomach sends  signals to the brain as you eat and it is the brain that tells you when you have had enough to eat. Maybe it is your brain that is oversensitive to the signals from the stomach and that could be due to an abundance of empty calories in the rest of your diet. Empty calories = food with insufficient vitamin content, unfortunately the common standard american diet (sad).

Moderation is key: Too much of anything is not good.

Accepted Answer

Both are a good: Idea. You will get more live enzymes from eating fresh raw vegetables however. Take care.
