Of course !: all cells are affected, no exception !! best to avoid them and to limit sugars all together (ok to use raw unfiltered honey and organic stevia).  Omega 3 and vitamin D supplementation are my top anti inflammatory choices !

A corn or the start: A "bunion" is a street term for hallux valgus, an angular deformity of the great toe that makes a prominence on the inner aspect of the foot.

A "corn" is a  thicken of the skin or a bony prominence of one of the lesser toes usually due to a deformity (commonly a hammertoe) or a ill fitting shoe. A "soft corn" develops in the space between the 4th and 5th toe.

No: Corns and calluses are caused by repeated pressure or friction against skin.  It is a protective reaction to avoid blisters.  In the foot, corns generally occur due to pressure from ill-fitting shoewear.  
Removing the corn will not cause more corns to grow in their place, but if the original cause of the corn is not changed, the corn will come back.

Some proteins in meats, such as carnitine, may be altered by bacteria in the gut to pro-inflammatory substances.
