If your lower abdomen hurts, that could be your skin, muscles, bladder, uterus, or intestines. If the upper part of your abdomen hurts, it could be acid reflux, pancreatitis, or other problems. See a doctor for an assessment.

Hello. : Hello. You may be referring to colonoscopy. The individual  takes some medication to clean out their GI tract. The doctor looks at the colon through a scope attached to a tube, to ensure that it is healthy. General surgeons often perform these. Some alternative medicine docotors do colonics, to help purge the colon of feces.

my daughter's had very severe stomach pain that moves around her abdomen (mainly lower right) and a low appetite for a few days. i was told recently she collapsed on the floor of her school in pain. it's not menstruation, but should i be concerned?

It is a main cause of peptic ulcers.  The usual symptom is pain centered above the belly button, which can be aggravated by being hungry.
