If you used antibiotics like doxycycline before, then you will stick with that.  If people use ProActive, or benzoyl peroxide, or retinoic acid before and it worked, then that's the best treatment.

More problems: You have enough problems that you do not need to add to those by taking alcohol. Alcohol never did any body any good and you should not take any.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form.

Unclear: It would be helpful if you clarified "anhedonia," as well as what the incorrect and correct diagnoses were. Also what other medicines you might be taking, now.  The anhedonic effects of this medicine are mild, and go away quickly -- with in day or at most weeks -- when it is stopped.
