Uvula: Uvula is the tag of tissue that hangs down off of the back of your soft palate.  Bumps may be related to your cold.  If they don't clear as cold abates, you must see an ENT specialist or an oral surgeon.  Biopsy may be in order.

Rest / fluids / rest: Best remedy for a head cold is to rest and drink plenty of fluids. Despite years of extensive research the most effective medicine is rest and fluids. Your body and immune system should take care of the rest.

Plugged : Plugged ears after a cold is very common.  This may be due to swelling of the eustachian tube so that the ear cannot equalize pressure or from direct inflammation of the middle ear.  If there is no active infection in the ear, then the best treatment is just waiting for it to recover.  Some people may get benefit from over-the-counter decongestants.  Your doctor may start a nasal steroid spray.  There is no proof that these speed recovery.  Unfortunately, symptoms can lst 2-3 months.  If there is persistent fluid in the middle ear past that time, an ear tube may need to be placed.

No worrying: Dark circles are one of the most common complaints we ophthalmologists see.  Most common cause is lack of sleep or tiredness .  Other rare causes are allergies, thyroid disease and possible renal disease.

No home remedies recommend other than plenty of rest. Have your primary dr. Check thyroid and kidneys.

Surgery: This is called ptosis and it means that the muscle that holds the lid up is stretched.  The only cure is an outpatient surgical procedure to shorten and tighten the muscle.

Dark circle under I: Swelling,  blood vessal dilating/breaking as area is very sensitive. Check  for food allergies milk, others ( avoid milk x 1 week) or seasonal allergies, eczema use zyrtec , nasal sprays astelin. Elevate head of bed to drain .Eat well veggies, sleep well no smkoing, check B12  home remedies  ice under eye for 1-2 minutes constricts vessals, cucumber or potatoe slices. Use concealer f/u w/doc

Itching eyes: Itching usually indicates allergy. There is a drop called pataday that no longer requires a prescription. Use 1drop daily.Also use a lubricating drop several times a day.Of course if symptoms persist or increase see an ophthalmologist.

Clean sock, raw rice: Use a sock to do hot compress. Put rice in the sock (uncooked) then microwave about 30 seconds. The heat lasts 10-15 minutes. Good for styes, meibomitis and dry eye!

Heat: Apply a very warm soaked wash rag over the closed lids for 4 minutes at a time about 4-5 times per day.  This will usually work.  See you ophthalmologist if the vision is disturbed or there is much pain.
