LBP: Consider weight control, postural changes, gentle stretching exercises, omega, etc. Low impact includes swim, walk, and bike.

Rest: Warm compresses, acetaminophen OTC on regular basis, but don't exceed the recommended dosage, not more than 4 gms/day from all sources. ultimately you need to be seen and followed up, you can try health clinics in your area, wish you wellness

Unclear: Numbness in hand from middle to pinky suggests ulnar nerve impingement.  If bone spurs were related pattern would usually be different from this.  However, a C8 root syndrome might produce this pattern.  Try to draw a line around the area of numbness (including all parts that are numb - hand and arm).  Show to doctor.  EMG/NCV study could be helpful.

i have had severe lower back and hip pain for years and it's steadily getting worse. i have degenerative disc disease, arthritis, and bone spurs. i limp, have trouble walking and standing upright, and can't stand more than a few minutes. help?

: Appears you have widespread wear and tear, assuming not prior confirmation of inflammatory arthritis.  Medication merely will slightly help discomfort but will not provide longterm benefits.  Physical therapy in a pool, or using Red Cord equipment, with eventual McKenzie exercises does work, but must be gradual.  A sacroiliac belt often is useful

Unstable neck and ba: The neck and back pain is from instability associated with bad ligaments in the neck and back. The pancreatitis could be the back itself giving the pain. 

You would greatly benefit from prolotherapy to the neck and back.

Perhaps: The answer really depends on the overall health of the patient as well as the size and location of the stones, all of which determine what type of surgical procedure would be best for her specific case.  Her treating physicians will consult with the urologist to decide if surgery is best for her.

Back pain: Persistent pain and worsening back pain should prompt another MRI of the mid (thoracic) and low (lumbar) back pain.  Also, a bone spur is usually a chronic condition unrelated to an acute injury.

Coccyx: Some believe that the coccyx is the vestigial or remaining tail from our ancestors in evolution. It probably does not serve any function at present.

can a damaged coccyx ever fully heal?

Accepted Answer

Yes: Depends on what "damaged" means, but a fractured coccyx should heal, unless there is significant displacement, or associated medical conditions which prevent healing.  If you are having persistent pain at your coccyx, your doctor can check x-rays and other imaging studies to assess the underlying anatomy.
