Tinea Pedis: Likely you have athlete foot and very common between the toes because of moisture. Many otc products are available and rx creams which in my view work better. See your local podiatrist.

Dishydrosis: Your symptoms sound similar to a condition called dishydrotic eczema. This is characterized by small, clear, vesicular lesions that occur to the hands and feet. They can be intensely itchy (pruritic) and when they pop, can cause sores and scaling. See a dermatologist for evaluation.

To start with...: It may be athlete's foot. The best otc medication (in my opinion) is lotrimin (clotrimazole) ultra. Socks should be a synthetic material like those manufactured by thorlo [http://www.Thorlo.Com/]. Dilute vinegar soaks are good as well.  Dry the inside of your shoes by placing them up-side down over an air return vent at home overnight. If this doesn't make things better in a couple days, see a podiatrist.

There must be more: So the Dr saw you with severe, itchy dermatitis on top of your feet and did not see features of fungus. What, then, was the diagnosis? Allergic contact? And the treatment was Aquaphor????? Sounds like you need a potent prescription ointment, maybe a short course of prednisone [20mg alternate days for 3 doses].

Yes: Vesicular athlete's foot is a blistery infection that usually occurs with a sudden outbreak of fluid or pus filled areas of the skin. The blisters can be caused by excess moisture and friction. They can also be caused by an allergic reaction to the fungus that cause the infection in the first place.  It is more common to the bottom or sides of feet or in between the toes.

Ingrown toenail: when toenails are trimmed too short they can impale the flesh as they grow forward causing pain, redness, drainage. Trimming the offending border out can often cause it to become worse if you don't get the entire margin out. It can also cause it to have temporary relief only to return , again, when the nail grows. Seek medical attention from your local podiatrist.

Not warts!: Yes, you can definitely get athletes foot on one or two toes. It's usually under toes that don't get completely dry after showering. Warts are hard, thick areas without liquid inside. What you describe sounds more like athletes foot. An over-the-counter antifungal cream might help.
