Yes: First an evaluation to determine cause must be done, then the caused treated.  For the edema, itself eyedrops containing steroids and non-steroid anti-inflammtory agents are used.  If this fails to work, then injections of anti-vegf agents, such as avastin, (bevacizumab) can be done.  See a retinal specialist for this problem.

: Colonic bacteria metabolize lactulose into monosaccharide, fatty acids, hydrogen, methane. Lactulose is not administered chronically,  mainly used to prevent Liver encephalopathy. In prolonged use lactulose can  change the gut flora and give rise to  small intestinal bacterial overgrowth. Large amount of gas produced can cause pnematosis. Cystoidis is when gas is all around the colon. Hope it help

Probably ok: Carotodynia is an old fashioned term used to describe nonspecific aching in the carotid bulb region. Other than feeling uncomfortable there is probably no serious repercussions. If visual changes, speech changes, or motor deficits are occurring then the discomfort needs to be checked out immediately by a local physician. Otherwise i would observe and not treat. Yes, but see below: Narrowing of the carotid artery can be due to stenosis secondary to atherosclerosis, but a more acute form comes from trauma due to tearing of the inner surfaces, a carotid dissection, and this is an emergency situation.  A carotid duplex, a ct angio, an MRI angio can all demonstrate the block.
