42 yr old husband had duplex scan of cartoid and verterbral ateries. it showed mild scattered eccentric antherosclerotic plaque it both cartoid systems, but no focal areas of hemodynamically significant stenosis. is this concerning?

Those are common findings with carotid duplex scan at your husband's age. There is nothing to concern and doctor will instruct him what to do to slow down the atherosclerotic change of the artery.
