i fell on the ice last week on my face. the bruising and cuts are almost gone but i have a hard bump & swelling on my cheekbone could i have broken something, and if so, is there anything i can do about it, or should i just forget about it?

With : With any hard fall it is possible to fracture a facial bone.  It would be a little unusual to continue to have swelling this long after your injury.  I would suggest you see a doctor to have this problem evaluated.  An appointment may be all that is needed to reassure you, and an xray can be performed to check for a broken bone if the doctor needs that test to answer your question.  Thank you for your question!

what tests should i expect for a swollen parotid gland one side, my face is not symmetrical due to swelling. it has reached to my temple and cheekbone and lip numbness. i had an mri 2 years ago for different illness. ?

Tests: A physical exam with focus on the above area and followed by imaging, such as CT or MRI with comparison with previous imaging. An ENT exam will also be part of the workup in trying to determine extent and actual source for the changes.

See an oral surgeon: Your description is vague.. on/off meaning what? Every hour, once a day, week, or month? How long does it last? Is swelling hard or soft? Obviously something is causing your condition, and it just may not be your teeth.

Teeth or Sinus: The symptoms that you describe could be caused from tooth problem or sinus inflammation/infection. The cause can be determined but it requires a dentist to evaluate you in person with the help of x-rays and a clinical exam along with a medical and dental history.
