Not uncommon: It is not uncommon for such patients to note changes in their digestive system. Of concern would be severe discomfort, tenderness at operative site, fever or sweats, or wound inflammation, presence of jaundice, clay colored stools or brownish urine.

had lap cholecystectomy monday and diarrhea non-stop today and yesterday. er did nothing told me to see my surgeon. causing pain. blood today in stool?

Call your surgeon: It is good thing ER did not have to give you special treatment. Watch out for Dehydration. Drink only Liquids and avoid regular food. 
If you are NOT having fever, abdominal cramps and distention; you will be ok. But call your surgeon and talk to him/her on the phone.

After: You have healed for several days, after you are eating well without nausea or pain, after you have stopped taking pain medications, ; after approved by your surgeon.

what are the effects of alcohol after two months of gallbladder removal? are you more susceptible to blacking out, alcohol intoxication, or alcohol intolerance, or would you regularly react to your average alcohol intake?

: The gallbladder does not participate in nor does its absence alter the way a body processes alcohol. This function is carried out by the liver tissue. In short, not a factor at all in any of these issues.

See below: Would wait several days to a week or so. Wait until pains are resolved, you are eating normally, and no longer using pain medications. May also want to wait until you see your surgeon for your post-operative visit to check your healing progress.

used opioids/alcohol intermittently for 7 years. not often at same time, but occasionally. recent gallbladder removal due to stones and mono. no alcohol use over a year, but now extreme right side pain and bruising five months. norm lft. more tests?

See doc or go to ER: Need more info to tell what but clearly something is wrong. Abnormal bruising usually indicates a coagulopathy and if you are not on blood thinners then your liver may not be producing coagulation factors as it should or you may just have ongoing bleeding for another reason. You could also have a kidney infection or stone. Depends where the pain is. Go to the ER now or see your doctor.

Retained stone: Rarely even after gb surgery would be concerned about retained stone or some other liver condition.

NO: You have hypertension  ( high blood pressure )  unrelated to your surgery , See your medical doctor and get it treated with medication(s) .

i am 48 and just had gallbladder removal. its not quite 48 hours post procedure but i have been having high blood pressure and i didnt have it before. my last bp was 154/101. i have taken a blood pressure medication an hour ago. what is going on?

: There are a wide range of possibilities, from pain to anxiety to a med side effect. There are many different medicines that can be given anesthesia-wise and it is possible you are reacting to one of the medicines. If that is the case, your elevated blood pressure will likely be short-lived. If you are having pain or anxiety, this can be treated. Good luck!

Hypertension : And gallbladder removal itself are not related.  If you are having pain from the surgery, that could make your BP go higher.  Consult with your surgeon if it persists despite pain meds.
