Call your surgeon: It is good thing ER did not have to give you special treatment. Watch out for Dehydration. Drink only Liquids and avoid regular food. If you are NOT having fever, abdominal cramps and distention; you will be ok. But call your surgeon and talk to him/her on the phone.
