You : You should be cautious about using these medications together. Methylphenidate (concerta) and the Pseudoephedrine in sudafed combined can increase the stimulatory effects of the medicine. Agitation, increased heart rate, nervousness, etc can be some of the additive effects.

Sudafed: Sudafed is a great drug that works as a potent oral decongestant, making it great for colds, allergies and the like.  It has been available over-the-counter for years, but in recent times, illicit drugs can be made from using sudafed as one of the ingredients.  Now, in many states, sudafed is controlled and requires a special prescription or it is closely maintained in pharmacies under lock & key.

Sudafed: Children's sudafed is low dosage, but how much have you taken of it, at any rate it would wear off in about 8 hours and get out of your system in a day or so.  I'd be concerned if it was the other way round

Sudafed: Because it contains Pseudoephedrine which may disrupt your child's sleep, use slt water nose drops with the sid of a bulb syringe to clear his nasal passages. Also use a vaporizer and elevate his mattress while sleeping. If need be you can use clartin, allegra, or zyrtec syrup, 1 tsp at bedtime and may be repeated 12 hours later, if necessary.

It : It is possible to get a false positive result for amphetamines  in patients using sudafed ( which contains Pseudoephedrine ) because it is similar in structure chemically. It is seen because of cross-reactivity in tests that use antibodies to screen for amphetamines. More specific tests can differentiate between the two.

recovering from virus, used advil, (ibuprofen) sudafed nyquil.  now have bad acid reflux with gagging.  on prevacid/antacids but still gagging.  diet?  drugs?

Gagging: You should see a gastroenterologist and probably get an upper endoscopy to see what is wrong with your stomach or esophagus.

Not likely, but: Normally when a drug screening test is administered they ask you to list all medications that you are currently taking. This is so that if they do find a positive, they can take extra steps to verify that whatever caused the positive isn't something you listed. Don't take it between now and the test if you're worried - by 48 hrs, it should not show up anyway. Best!

Not necessary : Mild upper respiratory infections are self limited illnesses. Decongestants such as phenylephrine only treat the symptoms, not the illness itself and all medications have potential side effects. It's better to use normal saline nasal drops or spray. If fever recurs, lethargy appears, decreased apetite, worsenning cough or other complications, have him seen by a doctor.
