: The total IGG test lists the amount of IGG in the blood at that point in time &amp; usually reported as compared to upper/lower levels in the population targeted.TTG-IGG is the amount of IGG generated towards that particular factor &amp; elevation suggests the possibility of Celiac disease. Confirmation is generally made by studying a sample of the digestive lining (biopsy) after proper gluten stimulation

i recently had a celiac panel done and it came back negative. however the immunoglobulin a, qn, serum level was low at 59. is this serious?

Unlikely: Low IgA occurs in about 1/333 people. Most people with this isolated deficiency do not have problem.   A very low IgA level may make a celiac test based on IgA antibody false-negative- ie. The disease is there but the test fails to detect it.   However yours is not low enough.

hi i had bloodwork and im confused with an abnormal result. my immunoglobulin a, qn serum was high. supposed to be 87-352 and mine was 524. ?

Maybe nothing: The level at less than 2X upper normal might be associated with a condition called celiac disease (gluten intolerance) or an autoimmune process like rheumatoid arthritis. It also may be a transient benign finding. There are some worrisome conditions where is is 5-10X normal, but we see more people with really low levels that have problems with recurrent infections.Discuss with your doc.

my blood work indicated i have low immunoglobulin a, qn, serum and low igg 1 and 3as well as 14 low pneumococcal types; could this be why i have fatig?

Possibly: The fatigue can be due to recurrent respiratory infections, secondary  to the immunoglobulin defiencies, and the low antibodies titers, kindly keep the follow up with an allergist/immunologist preferably in a tertiary care facility, you may need  intravenous immunoglobulins replacement therapy, wish you wellness

Can check heme labs?: You can suggest if not ordered already: serum&amp;urine protein electrophoresis. The IgA can be rechecked in 4-6 weeks and if still abnormal a hematologist can give an opinion. Other causes of elevated IgA can: chronic infections, liver conditions.
The result may be a lab issue or from a viral infection too.

Don't worry: I presume that these tests were done because of recurrent sinus or lung infections. Ig g is a measurement of the major antibody type which is involved in fighting against infections.  If the total is normal but the igg3 is low, it has little meaning. But if your total igg1 is low, then this may be of concern.

If monoclonal (of one kind) raises the possibility of waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia - a malignancy affecting lymphocytes or plasma cells that produce this abnormal IgM protein causing symptoms of hyperviscosity - confusion, shortness of breath, stroke, kidney damage etc.
