for a week, i have had a normal gum colored, pain-less sore under my tongue. it feels like a little protruding round sac and looks like a little blister. its more annoying then anything else because it causes me no discomfort.  what could this be?

Hard to say: It could be a cyst or an abscess , a lesion of some sort....your description of a bump or sore is vague. How long did you have it? Is it growing ? Etc.. Best to have a dentist take a look, the sooner the better. Good luck and stay safe.

Cold sores: What you describe is not just the cold sore causing other oral problems but a possible systemic infection
sometimes strep throat can result in all these symptoms so please see your doctor to resolve the problem.

Avoid those foods: Your complaint is very common and the simple answer is to avoid those foods!  canker sores occur as a reaction to some types of allergens, such as citrus fruits, walnuts, chocolate, and many others i could mention!  i don't usually mention products but patients who use rembrandt canker sore toothpaste don't get canker sores anymore!

These types of: These types of multiple symptom situations require a one on one evaluation by a physician and\or dentist. Canker sores generally result in pain just localized to the ulcer.

could chewing cinnamon chewing gum, cause mouth soreness or bumps?

Accepted Answer

Perhaps: You may be allergic to the cinnamon or it may just be irritating to the soft tissues of your mouth.  Where are the bumps, and did they first pop up after chewing the gum?  They are more likely to have been there and you merely became aware of them due to the soreness.  If they do not go away within a couple of days, see your dentist for a definite diagnosis.

after using  toothpaste i brush a second time with cinnamon powder. gums became sore and mouth hurt. could cinnamon cause oral issues? antibacterial.

Cinnamon: Cinnamon can be very irritating to the soft tissues of the mouth. If you want to use something antibacterial, use one of the name brand antiseptic mouthwashes preferably one that is alcohol free. Read the ingredients. Look for one with as few ingredients as possible.

recurring sore roof of mouth in exact same location every time i get sick/sinusitis. swollen gum too in same area. what can cause this please. ?

Sinus treatment: Recurrent sinusitis can cause recurrent upper mouth pain, so can a small recurring ulcer in the mouth. Try an antiseptic mouth wash and a Neti pot or sinus rinse bottle to irrigate out your sinus.

Angular Cheilitis: You may be suffering from angular cheilitis, which can be fungal or idiopathic in nature, or even a result of a nutrient deficiency. Not sure if the gingival issues are related, but a visit to your dentist and/or physician should provide you with additional guidance and treatment.
