can a uti cause groin pain and thigh/hip pain in a female? the area of thigh and hip is connected to the groin area? i got dx with uti today and was prescribed 7 days of cipro antibiotic. im just ready for some relief?

: Sorry, but it is unlikely a UTI explains hip or thigh pain. Probably separate problems. That said, weirder things have happened:  see what happens as your UTI is treated. But don't let your hopes get too high. Good luck.

Nerve compression: You are describing the types of symptoms caused by nerve irritation. However muscular causes can also cause similar symptoms.  Only a workup will give you the answer you're looking for

Yes: Constipation can definitely cause regional pain, including back pain.  Mag citrate can be very effective for constipation.  If your symptoms persist after treating your constipation, see a physician for further evaluation.

Many causes: Hip pain may be from the joint itself, due to arthritis or a tear in the labrum; sacroiliac joint can cause hip and groin pain , as can muscle sources such as gluteals ,  adductors, and piriformis. Evaluate for hernias and femoral nerve compression.

does an mri always show all internal structures of the hip/groin? if a person has groin pain but mri looks normal is this enough reason for further investigations such as arthroscopy ?

: This depends on the symptoms, clinical findings of the examiner. In general with a normal MRI it is not done

Hip pai after THA: Check for loosening, infection, synovitis, startup pain, strain, impingement, or may just be normal healing.

does fibroids cause groin pain on both sides or would more likely be a ovarian cyst that ruptured or leaking? i been having pain in groin only and some pain in my hip. i called doc and theyre scheduling a u/s next week. thank u. im 40?

: Usually not- only a remote possibility. Pl wait to get the Ultra sound. Also need a thoro exam of the area.
