Sometimes: When B12 deficiency is treated with B12 (also known as cobalamin), all hematologic symptoms (i.e. Anemia) should reverse and neurological symptoms usually start improving after 3 months with maximal improvement at 6-12 months. For unknown reasons though, sometimes the neurological symptoms persist and even progress even after cobalamin treatment.

the above link discusses causes of frontal lobe atrophy.  Since the frontal lobe is involved in eye movements, any of these causes can lead to "wandering eyes.".

Not uncommon: Brain atrophy not uncommon, as at least 65% of all ms pts will develop some cognitive problems, but important to emphasize that some medications can control and maybe reverse.  The oral med Gilenya (fingolimod) may be a good choice for you, as atrophy data best on market to date(but "off label" currently).  My colleagues across the country have had best symptom relief with generic galantamine. Hope it works.

Vascular disease: Atrophy means the brain is shrinking or aging inappropriately.  Get in a good physicians care for definitive diagnosis and treatment. Make sure you are on a well balanced diet.

: There are genetic disorders associated with both primary brain pathology and hormonal dysfunction.  However, acquired declining testosterone does not cause brain atrophy directly, and other explanations must be sought for the latter.
