Yes: Myeloma cells can produce abnormal immune proteins called "light chains" which can affect the kidney and result in renal failure and/or nephrotic syndrome.

It is possible: Some forms of myeloma secrete a protein called a light chain that can invade organs like the heard or liver and cause it to function poorly. Most of the problems with the heart arise from many of the early treatments of myeloma which included a drug called adriomycin. Modern chemotherapy can still cause heart problems but not at the same rate.

my platelets are 134,000. last august, they were 121,000 (just learned this), so they have come up a little at least. my mother had multiple myeloma, and i am wondering if my platelets are cause for concern and if they could be the beginning of mm?

: Shortages of red blood cells, white blood cells, and blood platelets are common in multiple myeloma.  But medications can also cause a drop in platelets.  Also B12 deficiency has been associated with low platelet counts.  I would recommend further discussion with your primary doctor to discuss your risk and possible further testing.

my cousin is 64yrs old and has end stage multiple myeloma.he had a autologous stem cell transplant 7 months ago.he was put on a light maintenance  chemo pill and now he is taking out patient chemo again. what would cause him to go back on chemo again?

Relapse: Or disease being active again. Make sure the goals of therapy as to palliative/ curative are clear and getting involved a palliative care physician at this point and if available, specifically with disease being in late stages.

Seek opinion from a: This is unusual way to make a diagnosis of multiple myeloma(mm). Typically we need to do a bone marrow biopsy and look for cancer cells in the marrow. These cells produce abnormal proteins(m protein) which will show up either in the blood(commonly) or in the urine. We use a test called protein electrophoresis. If  these tests have not been done, seek a second opinion. Chemo will help to control mm.

Basically right: Even sickle cell trait ruins much of the concentrating ability of the kidneys by adulthood. Myeloma is more likely to damage and obstruct the tubules themselves. Both produce a kidney lesion that prevents the urine from becoming concentrated, rather than a pituitary diabetes insipidus.
