Time: It will take time to heal.  You could try some ice.  If it is not better in a couple weeks see an oral surgeon.

i had surgery years ago in my mouth for a big mucocele i had, and now my scar causes me a mild pain. why would that be?

Pain: When the surgery was done tissue had to be cut in order to remove the mucocele.  Some small nerves inevitably are cut resulting is irreversible damage to the small nerves. Unfortunately what you are experiencing is a normal sequelae to surgery.

Yes: The tonsil is comprised of bumpy lymphatic tissue with an irregular surface.  Additional bumps may be due to a mucocele, cryptic debris, lymphatic tissue or neoplasia.  Enlarging masses in the tonsils should be evaluated and possibly biopsied.

after the excision of a big mucocele from the bottom side of my tongue 2.5 months ago, my tongue tip looks like swollen (a bump that causes it to point upwards).i believe this causes me issues with pronunciation.is it nerve damage?will it get better?

Consult Oral surgeon: You need complete and proper exam. Check the healing and check the nerve sensation.

can posterior ethmoid mucocele put enough pressure on eye to cause eye floaters?

Unlikely: These lesions gradually put more pressure on the eye if they break through the bone barrier between the orbit and the ethmoid sinus.  This will not cause floaters although if the eye is being pushed out of position, it might cause existing floaters to be more noticeable.  An ENT doctor can help with removal of this mucocoele.

approx 4 weeks ago a clearish glassy bump developed in my inside lower lip. no known trauma or reason. not painful, but swollen, red & annoying. maybe mucocele or canker sore? no self remedies work. seeing dr next week. any idea on what it could be?
