Different things: Glucose high mean high blood sugar depend on if it was fasting or not or how high it could mean you might be diabetic
bun and creatinine are the kidney blood test  if they are abnormal either you are dehydrated or you could be having kidney problem
the combination of all together if you are diabetic and you are having kidney problem could  be a red flag for something serious check with your doctor.

Kidney related ?'s: A high creatinine in the urine while dehydrated is not unusual, but your husband as a diabetic should seen his nephrologist , as renal (kidney) decompensation is a serious problem requiring constant monitoring in diabetic patients especially.

: You do have a reduced kidney filtering function.  Your PCP is very likely to refer you to a nephrologist to expedite the diagnostic process and to start a proper treatment if needed.

Possible: In most cases of uncomplicated utis these kidney function measurements would remain unchanged. If the kidneys themselves are involved especially in cases of pyelonephritis associated with systemic response such as sepsis, these measurements may change.

i have autoimmune gastritis. bun is low at 5. creatinine is normal at 1.07. the ratio is low at 4.67. what does this mean? i eat well. what should i ask my dr to check? what can cause these numbers? im also b12, d, and iron deficient?

: You needn't worry at all. These are totally normal results indicating normal kidney function. In your case, the ratio is low because the BUN is lower than usual -- but that's not a sign of kidney disease or any other health problem. All is well.

: Labs are basically near normal, except for a lower GFR (less than normal passage of urine through the kidney), which can indicate potential damage eventually from dehydration.  Get a referral to a nephrologist for guidance, and increase your hydration with clear fluids.

BUN/Cr Ratio: The most common cause of a high blood urea nitrogen (BUN) to creatinine ratio is dehydration. A ratio over 20 indicates low intravascular volume. The BUN can also be elevated in people with a high muscle mass.
