Dental Caries: Baby bottle syndrome is dental caries resulting from prolonged use of baby bottles especially with juice or other sugary drinks.  The distribution of the caries start in the central middle teeth- central incisors- where teeth are in contact with the bottle nipple. If severe  can result in loss of baby teeth and sometimes spread to adult teeth.

Not safe otherwise: I don't like microwaves for warming bottles because its too easy for you to overheat the milk & burn babies mouth. The only effective way to judge how hot it got is to stick your finger in it. Yuck! microwaves won't make baby glow in the dark or get sick. Babies don't need warmed milk anyway, if you set out a night bottle early & let it warm to room temp that's fine & some like it cold..

Bottle mouth: This is a real(and devastating) condition.It is caused by sugars in the liquid(milk, formula, juice) .When a child is put to bed with a bottle the teeth are bathed in the sugar causing decay, to prevent this do not let the child have a bottle in the crib to fall asleep with or if you must only put water in the bottle.

Babies that sleep with a bottle or cary one all day are distroying their teeth.Caps are often used to protect remnants  & hold spaces.
