Feeding babies: You did not mention the age of your baby. The baby's doctor will have a recommended schedule for you. We now know that adding food too soon sets the child up for health problems such as a weaker immune system and childhood obesity.

That is a theory: That many weary parents during growth spurts wish could be helpful to get them to sleep longer. The risk you run, is developing a food allergy. Many people try to offer thickened formula or breast milk a little too soon than what is generally recommended. Ask your pediatrician what their experience has been with that. If definitely depends on the age of the baby.

Remember that the brain growth depends on multiple feedings and it is more important to feed the baby than for you to sleep. You can help prevent some of those attention deficit issues if you support brain development and growth.
