Rest, fluids, suppor: Without knowing the cause of the cough, I'll assume it's viral (influenza epidemic in US). Most viral illnesses run their course in 10-14 days (but less than 5 days if you get flu vaccine). In the mean time, notify your doctor, rest, drink plenty of fluids (urine run clear), &amp; keep tissue handy. Cough syrups (with Guafenisin) can help thin mucus, as does chicken soup &amp; humidifier. TTYD. Good luck.

i think i might have sprained my wrist but don't think it's so severe that i need to visit a doctor for it.
could you advise on self-care and medication to relief pain?

Sprain: Treatment for sprains consists of resting the joint, cold applications, elevation when sitting or supine. Taking an anti-inflammatory medication like ibuprofen and applying a brace or ACE wrapping may also help.

: Caution will be recommended in the process. While your frustration is understandable, under current circumstances and without proper transfer of medical records you are exposing yourself to high risk for gaps in care. You may want to first find a primary care doc that you will like more and then have your records transferred, most of the transferring work being done by you and your family.

No: Unfortunately, pco is a genetic disease and there is no permanent cure for it.  However, there are medications of lessen its effect and correct the hormonal imbalance it causes.  Check with your doctor.

i suffer from atrial fibrillation and am under a cardiologist care taking medication.  recently i have lost 20lbs.  what other actions can i take to reduce the occurrence of an afib episode?  are there any health life style changes i can pursue?

Atrial fibrillation: I still advocate minimizing intake of caffeine,alcohol and prohibition of smoking and maintenance of normal blood pressure to reduce recurrence of a fib. A cardiologist is best qualified to evaluate and follow you, order appropriate tests and,if advisable, certain medications to prevent or treat a fib episodes.

i took good care of medications and my diet, soft bowels, avoided bike, cycle. but still the fissure doesn't heal itself. proctoscopy, crp, fecal calprotectin are ok. dr. says healing fissure from last 4 months. sometimes ok and sometimes pain?

: You need to see a surgeon. Sometimes  surgical removal is needed  for a non healing fissure.

Maybe: Folic acid is lost with lactation, so a supplement can be good. Prenatal vitamins also include iron, to replenish some of the blood lost at delivery.

Otherwise, post-partum is not a disease, and you shouldn't need new treatment - but medicines needed for blood pressure control will sometimes be continued until your post-partum exam.

And don't forget contraception for at least 12-18 monhs!
