just had a laporoscopic surgery about 5 days ago and i was wondering if smoking cannabis will affect it. im talking about bowl or bong hits only .

Not a good idea: Weed is not good for you now nor will it be good later. Please refrain from it, being legal does not make is harmless. It will mess with your brain. 
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex. 
Get HPV vaccine.

1i am having a 3 hour surgery tomorrow morning and i cannot sleep. will i be alright?
2 my doctor does not know i use cannabis. i haven't in 48 hours but could it still affect me and is it bad to take after surgery

Not a problem: Your treatment team will be able to work around either issue. I assume such a long procedure will require they put you to sleep anyway, this is not much of an issue &amp; pretty common. The cannabis issue is also minor but resuming it too soon after surgery could slow healing.

Yes.: Smoking marijuana after strabismus surgery can damage the eyes . Smoking marijuana can irritate the eyes and cause injection and discomfort.

i regularly smoke cannabis to ease my anxiety. i have to have wisdom teeth surgery with an iv. how close to the surgery should i stop smoking?

Cannabis and anxiety: Like most pot smokers, you will probably be surprised to learn that even though smoking may seem like it helps your anxiety, regular use changes  your brain chemistry in ways that increase baseline anxiety. See a therapist who specializes in treating anxiety. There are many good ways to treat anxiety, but they are much more work than taking a drug, whether pill or pot. A former client said smoking did not really help with his depression and anxiety, it just "lowered his give a sh** factor." Action oriented cognitive and behavioral approaches we took in his therapy were what gave him the tools to actually do something different when he felt anxious. It is more effective to act your way into thinking and feeling differently than it is to try to think or feel your way into being able to act differently.  In regard to your wisdom teeth removal, I am not sure what that has to do with smoking or not.

smoking cannabis after scaphoid non-union surgery. it involved a bone graft from my pelvis and a pin to secure it together. is weed bad for healing?

Not recommended: It is possible that marijuana could help some of the pain post op but it is not something i would really recommend to enhance healing.

i had strabismus surgery as an adult aged 31 it was mild and i wanted to know what the likelihood of it returning? also i smoke cannabis and havent done for 5 weeks now! can smoking weed bring back my lazy eye?

: I can't give you numbers but there are some basic factors to consider. Keeping lined up is influenced by the amount of vision in the weak eye. If it is good, your brain will keep you aligned by holding the tracking that allows depth perception. If the vision is minimal &amp; the procedure was more cosmetic, it will have a greater tendency to drift. I doubt the weed makes a difference, but no data

Not if it's illegal: I would not ever mix it with standard pain meds. In addition, there are over 600 chemicals in smoked marijuana. We of course did not know all the interactions between pain medications and pot so it would not be cool to combine them. I assume they already gave you crutches. Don't add a third one.:).

is there a problem if i try another method like using a bong?

Want to heal ??: Any smoking activity can delay the healing process while you recover from your surgery. It can trigger capillary spasm in the very sites you want working hard to repair those tissues. I would give it a couple weeks before resuming your plan.

Marijuana: Well, unless you are using medical marijuana for a problem a physician is treating you for, i would have to say no.  By keyhole surgery, I am assuming you mean laparoscopy.  Marijuana that's not government controlled may contain illegal herbicides, pesticides and other chemicals that would be extremely unsafe for you in addition to being illegal and causing jail time.
