Yes: In both multiple myeloma and  lymphoma the CBC can be fairly normal.

: The normal blood may mean it is not showing in the blood. It may be a benign mass and it may be biopsied to be certain by various techniques however normal blood and urine tests may not be enough. Normal U/S in the axilla is different from under the collarbone where the mass is. It may be a fat mass but see a surgeon for biopsy.

Not necessarily: Referral to an oncologist does not mean automatically it is a cancer. Majority of oncologists are also hematologists (doctor who deals with blood disorders) . So, in your case, it is not necessarily to be a cancer , it could be just a common blood disorder. Good luck.

No, not likely: Your platelet count is a bit high. But you should get it rechecked before you get too concerned as the counts can fluctuate from one week to the other. We do not get too concerned unless your platelet count is over 500,000 and rising steadily.

Need more info: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, it depends on why was the test done? Do you have a viral infection? It is not feasible to make a diagnosis form the information you provided.

: This needs to be followed very closely! Did you have a PSA test before? The best advice I can give you is to consult a Urologist very soon. That doctor will lay out a diagnostic plan that may include urine tests, other blood tests, a digital rectal exam, an ultrasound and/or a prostate biopsy. For sure, you will need to do a second PSA.

: A CBC looks at different areas not associated with the prostate. A normal one can be present in normal health and is possible with prostate cancer. Blood in the urine can come from many things including a kidney stone. He needs to follow-up with his doc. His PSA is not excessively high and many normal men have even higher PSA tests.

No: Anemia may warn of colon or stomach cancer. Leukemia will show up on a CBC but otherwise CBC is not a cancer screen.
