Xanax (alprazolam) is a sedative, and oxycodone can cause respiratory depression, meaning you could get into a situation where you breathing is obstructed and you're too sedated to do anything about it. Talk the doctor prescribing these meds about whether taking any amount of the two together is safe.

Too many meds: You are mixing too many sedating medications together.  Please discuss your complete list of medications with you surgeon or his PA, NP and or your pharmacist.  I am assuming that you got these medicines from different pharmacies.  Xanax is a benzodiapine and Nucynta (tapentadol) and Oxycodone are narcotic medicines.  Flexeril is a muscle relaxant.  All of these medicines are sedating, but in different ways.

Generally safe: It is not a good idea to mix benzos like Xanax (alprazolam) with opiates. But given the dose of Xanax (alprazolam) is small, a healthy person should not have a problem tolerating both. NO alcohol.

Hepatotoxicity: First, the medications you list are not likely to produce any significant liver damage in taken in therapeutic doses. Outside of stopping medications there is little you can do to prevent hepatic damage.

i take 25mg zoloft, 100mg metoprolol tartrate, and 50 mg xanax (alprazolam) as needed. i did take a xanaz last night and 120 mg oxycodone.  whole day i was out of it and dizzy, unable to do anything.  is this norma?

Dangerous, not norma: If you take  zoloft, i'm assuming 0.5 mg of xanax, (alprazolam) 50 mg of metoprolol and 120 mg of oxycodone, a lot would depend upon whether you are used to taking that much oxycodone. If your body is used to it and you gradually raised up to that dose than there would likely be no difficulties. However, if you suddenly added in 100 mg of oxycodone, you could have overdosed on that. A lot also depends upon your body's ability to tolerate sedatives in general and whether you have underlying sleep apnea as a medical condition. I would highly recommend that you talk to your prescribing physician about the dose of oxycodone and in particular how quickly you raised up to that dose. You should never take more pain medication than prescribed. It is the type of situation where people accidentally overdose and die in their sleep.
