Yes: Hydrocodone has an opiate and Tylenol (acetaminophen) contained within the dose. Neither of these have the same mechanism of action as Naproxen or Methocarbamol.

Yes: watch for sedation though. Don't drive until you know how sleepy you will get with the combination of Neurontin (gabapentin) and methocarbimal. ( assuming you take the amitryptyline at bedtime.

Common: Nsaid (ibp or naprosyn) is routinely prescribed with a muscle relaxant in order to address inflammation / pain component and the spasm/pain component of a sprain/strain. Local cool compresses (if acute) or warm compresses (if &gt;3-5 days present), can give additive benefit.

Small amounts : Of topical drugs can be absorbed in the systemic circulation. The larger the skin area on which they are used and the quantity applied may result in higher systemic concentration and possibly adding to systemic toxicity.

Most likely: Naprosyn (naproxen) is not directly related to Acetaminophen so it would be unlikely that you would have a sensitivity to acetaminophen.  If you've never taken Acetaminophen before i'd suggest taking a small dose to confirm it is in fact safe.  If symptoms of an allergic reaction do occur seek medical attention quickly.

i have suffered with chronic pain in only the left top portion of my back.  i take naprosyn, (naproxen) but it only helps a little. i have had this pain for 6 months.  what should i do?  i don't have insurance.

Ultimately, See Doc: An ice pack, cold massage, heating pad, or warm compress applied to the area may help to reduce pain.  Use nonprescription pain drugs such as aspirin, ibuprofen, or acetaminophen.  As pain eases, stretch & strengthen. Focus on back and abdominal strength, flexibility, and posture.
