Probably: If you had a sufficient mechanism of injury to have fractured your wrist and are still hurting one week after the injury, i would sure be checked and get an xray.  The wrist is such an important part for function and you would not want to have any long term problems with it.   Thank you for the question.

No: Definitely not if your wrist is broken. It takes 8 to 12 weeks for bone to heal in an adult.

Hopefully not: Your wrist has been locked up so it now has to learn to move etc. I am not looking at xrays and don't know if the bones healed properly which may be a factor. You really need to ask you r orthopedist and discuss if physical therapy would be prudent.

Once placed, they usually don't cause much of a problem (even to take out).  The reaction around them subsides rather quickly and unless you bump them or traumatize them, you may not know they are present.  Check with your orthopedist.
