6-8 weeks: Is a typical bone healing time but for fractures that need reduction and or surgery while the bone is mechanically healed after 6-8 weeks i always tell patients that it is 3-4 month process and months later before the wrist and hand begin to feel more " normal". Much also depends on the severity if fracture as a simple nondisplaced hairline fracture is very different from one needing operative rx.

6 weeks: The majority of wrist fractures heal witin 6 weeks. However, fractures of the scaphoid bone can require longer due to the unique blood supply to this bone. Healing time ultimately depends on the bone that is fractured and the fracture pattern.
