Go to physiotherapy: If you had x-rays that showed no broken bones, you likely have a moderate ankle sprain.  It is common with ankle sprains to have up to 6 weeks of swelling.  General ideas to treat this include an ankle brace, icing, anti-inflammatory medication and giving it time.  I would recommend consulting a physiotherapist to work on ankle motion, swelling control and strengthening exercises.

slid down 2-3 stairs stayed on feet. outside rt foot hurts when i move my foot but no swelling haven't been on feet yet. break possible or sprain?

Yes: 5th metatarsal fractures esp. @ the base of the bone are common.Even if you are able to put some weight on your foot you should get an x-ray .A sprain of the peroneal tendons is possible but an examination and x-rays by your ors ( orthopedic surgeon) is best. Good luck!

Hard to say: You are right in saying that is not a common mechanism and does not seem like enough energy to cause such an injury.  Sometimes the fracture can occur in abnormal bone such as in osteoporosis or a stress fracture, or the "fracture" is not a fracture after all. Don't hesitate to seek second opinion if you are concerned that the diagnosis is not correct.

Wash it : With soap and water, if you have antibiotic ointment, apply and place a bandaid on it. If it is not deep do not worry. If you cut it with metal or something of the sort you need to check your tetanus history.

27f. recently, my ankles started randomly making sounds sometimes when i stand, sit, or rotate my feet, or move. it seems random, and it's not painful when it sounds. i started ballet last summer and do it 2-3x/wk. should i be concerned? what is it?

: The muscles and tendons may be stretched during your sessions. Warm up prior to exercise and application of a cool pack after exercise is often effective. Watch for signs of swelling, redness and increased pain.

Of course, these conditions can only be verified by having your ankle x-rayed and examined by a specialist. Meanwhile, it is best to RICE the area. Rest, Ice application,Compression applied and Elevation.
