No: that would be highly unusual, and pretty close to impossible.  However, there are other causes of cancer in any part of the body including the throat.  Lymphoma can occur there, and have really nothing to do with smoking or other known risk factors. You don't say why you are concerned, but you need to present those symptoms to your doctor. If it is hoarseness, that is common, and goes away.

Any swollen lymph  gland (  if it is  is a  ) concern, needs exam by your doctor if it i due to throat infection will treat you with antibiotics and local care other wise will refer you to ENT specialist for endoscopic examination.
