Cancer symptoms: The growth rate for different types of cancer differ widely. Some cancers are believed to be present for years before symptoms appear, while others in sensitive locations appear very early. Rapidly growing tumors in sensitive locations may appear very soon after starting. Most throat cancers are squamous cancers which grow more slowly so many months might pass before sx.

34yr old male, never smoked. Intermittent SOB, 2 docs say lungs sound normal, x-ray results show normal lungs. Sometimes feel tightness in chest/throat. Worse after exercise, but resolves with inhaler. Lung cancer?
