Resistant strains: There are some strains of h.pylori which have become resistant to the previous antibiotic regimens. The recommendation now is for a 4-drug regimen (3 antibiotics plus an acid blocker called a PPI). You should return to your doctor and try a different course of treatment. Be sure to take all the pills prescribed.

: H pylori as well as.other pathogens can be transmitted by sharing utensils used by other infected people. It's not inevitable that you're going to get sick. Just be vigilant about any gastrointestinal symptoms if you're unsure of the health of that unhygienic individual.

Not fixed with food: If helicobacter pylori has been documented esp. if associated with ulcer, then eradication is requisite to avoid risk for ulcer non-healing, ulcer recurrence, &amp; even stomach cancer.There are a number of antibiotic combinations that work quite effectively in treating the infection.Test &amp; treat +contacts simultaneously to avoid cross infection. Document clearance of H.pylori after completing antibx.

No/when symptomatic: Not all infections are transmissible directly from one person to another.  The bacteria reside in the stomach of people so afflicted.  So, no, you can't catch H.Pylori in the way you describe.  H. Pylori can live in the stomach without symptoms.  If you get symptoms of abdominal pain, stomach pain, acid indigestion, dark stools or other symptoms, that would be the time to get tested.

how long will zantac (ranitidine) 150 mg take to work for gastritis? ive been taking it for 3 days no effect on me. idk the cause of gastritis just no h pylori

May take longer: I would give it  a week to work, if not, then you may need a different medication. Was this rec by your doctor?

That's in 6 months: Six months is an eternity. Details matter... such as why testing was done. If he had symptoms and still has symptoms, then 6 months would be plenty of suffering. A parent can work with the child's pediatrician to see what is going on. Treating H. pylori stomach infections may need help from a pediatric gastroenterologist. Haven't heard of any home cures for H. pylori gastritis. Doctor can recheck.

hello, i was diagnosed with h.pylori and the first treatment didnt work, and i finished my second treatment. i have bloatness and stomach pain 24/7 and feel terribly sick. is that a sign that my h.pylori is not cured?

H Pylorii: No, but these could be side effects of a change in the normal colon bacteria due to the antibiotics used in treatment. There is also the possibility of die effects of the PPI class of drugs used in the treatment

i have a small ulcer that im biopsy is negative for h pylori. prilosec didnt work, and neither is protonix. im in a lot of pain. im worried something was missed during endoscopy. what should i do now? how to heal naturally. im scared?
