Theoretically but...: ... I think unlikely. How far back to you expect records to be available. Often children up for adoption are from difficult socioeconomic situations where th pedigree is not accurate or available.

It isn't: In my experience parents adopting from anywhere do get a lot of information about the child and informed decisions can be made if it is a good fit for you. Family history may be sketchy, but you can get lots of information from the foster parents and orphanages..This helps you see the child's development and or emotional development. They usually provide labs that let you know health status too.

Sleep: Not long lasting effects per se, but if you have bad sleep habits as a child, sometimes you can always be a bad sleeper, and when you are a bad sleeper, you can be more susceptible on getting run down and getting sick.  Only thing that maybe needs to be checked out for permanent effects is if you have sleep apnea.  Undiagnosed, yes that can lead to issues to your body long term.

If these occur, they may have life long consequences.
