Yes, It's Possible: Problems within the tm joint can cause a huge variety of symptoms, which differ from person to person. Ear and jaw pain are very common. Facial tingling and numbness are less common, but still possible. Unfortunately, there's really no proven way for you to take care of this problem yourself. You need to see a dentist who's experienced with TMJ problems. Get help before your symptoms worsen!

It would be prudent to see your doctor and discuss if you may be depressed. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help. Start with low intensity exercise such as walking and gradually increase the intensity as tolerated.

2nd opinion: Hi,I would go to another neurologist(board certified) for a second opinion. S/he can get the results of the tests performed by the first neurologist so as not to repeat them I say this because the treatment of trigeminal neuralgia is different than the treatment of stress. Yes it can: While there are several conditions that can bring on these signs and symptoms, when they occur in combination, there is a high likelihood that TMJ is a causative factor. Try to find a dentist who has specialized knowledge in the pain release splint technique and is well-versed in myofascial trigger point therapy for best results. A neuromuscular approach is superior in my opinion.
