Not necessarily : Tmj syndrome is usually characterized by painful muscles around the jaw area, neck.. Tingling/ numbness is a possible but infrequent symptom. Get an evaluation with a qualified dentist.

Not necessarily: Normally not, but the possibility does exist if there is an imbalance of the teeth, muscles and/or the jaw joints.

Possibly: Possibly. If it concerns you, see a TMJ expert. Any dentist can be a TMJ expert with the proper training and experience. Most commonly, oral surgeons, prosthodontists, and orofacial pain specialists. Ask your MD, your dentist and your dental society for referrals.
