Yes, It's Possible: Problems within the tm joint can cause a huge variety of symptoms, which differ from person to person. Ear and jaw pain are very common. Facial tingling and numbness are less common, but still possible. Unfortunately, there's really no proven way for you to take care of this problem yourself. You need to see a dentist who's experienced with TMJ problems. Get help before your symptoms worsen!

Multiple symptoms: Temporo mandibular joint dysfunction can have many symptoms. Ear and jaw pain are possible. Facial numbness is not usually a symptom, but may not be impossible. See your dentist to diagnose the problem.

Numbness a concern: Numbness in the face presents a problem that i think and ENT or neurologist should see first. A tmj/tmd element, possibly, but a numbness can be from an infection (tooth, etc.) or another underlying issue.

Perhaps: Perhaps but as symptom along with other TMJ symptoms. If prominent, or the only symptom, I agree with Dr. Bassman that ENT or neuroloy evaluations are indicated.
